Loving You

Though I may no longer feel your touch

It’s imprint

Is ever lasting

The scent of your skin

Permeates my senses

Where Nothing truly

shall Compare

Everything fails to reach

The zenith

That was loving you

Thus Having known such heights

Suffices the longing

That is In my soul

And the penance of forever

Justifiably I shall serve

Love

Dare you ask

How to describe love

Like asking about the taste of water

Or the scent of a thousand rose beds

It can only be experienced

With all its suffering

Torment

It’s end

And zeal

Do not ask me of its meaning

I only

Want to know more

Forever

I have planted you

In every place I’ve gone

In hopes you blossom

Be it in another’s earth

To have held you close

A memory for lifetimes to come

Fill up every void

Defining love and loss

Birth and death

Blurring lines in its disobedience

Lawless in action

Wanton spirit to explain

How we did hold the sun and moon

When our embrace created breath

I still inhale you

Envious the rose became

Interchangeable

All the same

Buried you in the air I breathe

This is how I’ve set you apart

Forever

Truly

Do not think of me keenly

I do promise thee

That I will fail you

And leave tears where Love reigned

This admiration you feel

Is merely illusion

Only the Heavenly Father

Deserves this praise

I am just a man

Try as might

To forget this reality

I am fallen

But loved by his creator

I can only ask forgiveness of thee

For my foolish ways

Words and actions

I pray you know

This love in my heart

That grows with his every word

Because it is there

That you will know me

Truly
